I specialize in bespoke, incredibly detailed, and highly curated design and styling services for clients wanting a truly unique, personal and unforgettable experience. Heather Dappolonia Designs is the result of mixing an art degree with a film production degree. Seasoned with a variety of skill sets and more than a decade of experience as a makeup artist, costume designer, set dresser, art director, etc. Drizzled in +7 years of designing and styling weddings, parties and events for clients, friends, and family. Topped with what is practically a compulsion to re-imagine and mentally transform every space I walk into. Then baked in the creativity fueled oven that is my mind.........and Voila!
I started my own business because I truly believe if someone(s) is going to spend their time, energy and money on an event. They deserve to have someone helping them who cares just as deeply (sometimes more) about how their event will look. Plus I desperately want to make things look amazing.

What does an Event Designer / Stylist do?
An Event Designer / Stylist is all about the visuals. That means they deal with things pertaining to how your event will look and feel. Color pallet, invitations, decor, linens, table settings, florals, lighting, layout, etc….everything down to the smallest detail and embellishment is considered. Basically, if you can see it they deal with it. Most importantly they work with you to develop a cohesive visual design that makes your vision come to life.
Is an Event Designer / Stylist the same as an Event Planner or Coordinator?
NO, they are very different. An Event Planner is all about logistics. They deal with budget, timeline, travel, seating charts, vendor contracts, etc…all the behind the scenes work that goes into making your event happen. To be fair, some event planners do offer styling services as well. An Event Coordinator makes sure all the work done by the event planner is executed correctly and that everything runs smoothly the day of your event.
Does the Event Designer / Stylist work with the Event Planner?
YES, they absolutely work together! An Event Designer / Stylist works closely with your Event Planner to source vendors, materials and make sure everything stays within budget.
Why do I offer separate Event Design & Event Styling packages?
As I explained above, an Event Designer and an Event Stylist are usually one and the same. That said, there can be one or two exceptions. Unlike Designers, an Event Stylist usually comes on board after a venue has been selected and they do not always offer decor production services. Meaning they do not assist in the physical creation of any of the decor. My Event Stylist services are further pared-down to exclude venue selection, floor plan, and decor production services. This was done in order to create a package for clients wanting an option between: Full Service Design & Styling -- Day of Styling.

to meet your needs. Each package differs in the amount of services offered. Some packages and services can be combined and all can be customized to fit your

Design & Styling Start - Finish
I work with you from the very beginning, before anything has been done. I get to know you, what's important to you, and how you envision your event. I assist you in venue selection and together we develop a cohesive visual design and layout for your event. Then I work with your event planner to source vendors and materials. I also help in the creation of decor items such as backdrops, signage, centerpieces, etc. The day of your event I am there to help set up and make sure that all the visual details have been executed properly. I stay thought the event to make any adjustments that might be necessary. Then after your event I help tear down.
Design & Styling Blueprint You've got a plan
I work with you to develop a cohesive visual design for your event.
Once we have all the visual details figured out, I hand over all those details to you (a visuals blueprint) for you or your event planner to execute.

Design & Styling Consultation A little guidance
You already know how you want things to look. I meet with you to make sure the design and the style of your event is cohesive. I offer suggestions and adjustments when needed.

Event Styling
Styling Start - Finish
After you have selected your venue we meet and I get to know you, what's important to you, and how you envision your event. Together we create a cohesive visual design for your event. Then I work with your event planner to source vendors and materials. The day of your event I am there to help set up and make sure that all the visual details have been executed properly. I stay thought the event to make any adjustments that might be necessary. Then after your event I help tear down.
Day of Styling I set it up
I meet with you and/or your event planner 10 days before your event to go over your finalized designs and layout. We discuss how you want everything to look and where things need to go. You/they give me a packet with all the information we discussed including design photos, floor plan, vendor list and day of event timeline, etc. I check in with you and/or your event planner the day before your event to confirm or receive changes to the instructions. I am there the day of your event to help set it up and make sure that all the visual details have been executed properly per your instructions. I stay thought the event to make any adjustments that might be necessary. Then after your event I help tear down.

Styling Consultation A little guidance
You already know how you want things to look. I meet with you to go over your styling plans to make sure everything is cohesive. I offer suggestions and adjustments when needed.
